I’m finishing up week 3 and down a total of 13lbs. But I’ve hit a bump and for the past 3-4 days I haven’t lost anything. I’m following the protocol. It’s very frustrating. Is there any recommendations? My husband said I need to workout but I’m afraid I will burn muscle mass and not fat. Help!

I'm right there with you. Lost 8 lbs in first week. Week 2 1lb loss. Hopefully next week will be better.

I’m in week 5 and have gone up and down during the week. It’s normal, just wait it out it’ll move when your body is ready to release.

That happened to me days 1-5 of week 3. Then I dropped. Stick with it! I've lost 12. 4 in 3 weeks.

You can lift weights, just avoid cardio. That said, you averaged 4. 5 per week. That's really good. 8 pounds in one week will probably not happen again. 2-4 is more normal and if you're a slow loser it might be less. Just remember, down is down. You're moving in the right direction and that's all that matters.

Stay off the scale! We do NOT lose weight every day. Our body fluctuates up to five pounds per day unrelated to Dieting. It takes at least a week to see actual fat loss. And somw weeks it shows as pounds lost, other weeks as inches lost, and some weeks we lose nothing and it is ALL NORMAL!

Keep journaling and watch the video 25 "get rid of the scale". It should help you understand the process. If you have the piece of mind you're following the protocol, keep doing your job and once a week you discuss it with your coach. The journal will help tweak things as needed, and remember: this is a marathon! Stop focusing on the short term. Good luck! You got this!

I walk everyday for 30 minutes that seemed to take me out of my slump

When you're not losing pounds, you're probably losing inches. And don't weigh yourself every day.

Why does exercising burn muscle instead of fat when I still have lots of fat to burn? I have read the files but cannot get this part. Can someone help me to understand this please?

@contributor You are in Ketosis or near Ketosis when on this diet. So dont worry you'll be burning fat! The calorie count is low, so to be on the safe side they recommend no or only lite exercise. Hope that helps!

@belamy Thanks! I appreciate your feedback! But I’m still a bit confused as I read that if you exercise you run the risk of burning muscle. So why muscle instead of fat when there’s still plenty of fat to burn?

My IP Journal asks if I exercised? Does yours?
