Best answer
Drinking more shakes and selecting lower carb/calorie IP foods. My coach helped me pick items that helped.

Thanks, I’m trying to find a list of the foods and their carbs

I’m on mine as well. now it’s 6 as of today. I replaced my restricted with a non and chose lower calorie packets like shakes/ pudding instead of bars. it’s working. all the best to you!

In my last three weeks on Phase 1, I tried to get my water intake up. It helped increase my weight loss enough to hit my goal, and even go lower.

Hang in because the closer you get it takes a little longer at times.

Occasionally I'll just have coffee and a splash of cream for breakfast, then regular lunch & supper for a 2-3 days. So a small intermittent fasting, ? That usually gets gets the weight loss going.

So glad I’m not the only one. I’ve lost 23 lbs and down to my last 6. In the past two months I’ve only lost 6, hoping it won’t be another 2 months for these last lbs. Thanks for the tips!

Me, too. I'm cutting out the restricted items, too. My body seems to like my current weight, even when I have lost weight before my body seems to hover around the current number.

@sycosis me too. Don’t understand why. ‍♀️

I'm struggling with my last 10-15lbs. I've lost about 6lbs. in the last 8 weeks. UGH! I'm also much more tempted to cheat than I have been since I started in December. A handful of cheese here and there, a couple of forkfuls of plain rice here and there. Yesterday (Mother's Day) I cheated more than I have since December. combined, but still didn't go nuts. Help! I'm back on today but worried I won't be able to get to my goal. Great idea to eat the lower carb IP foods. I'm obsessed with the Vanilla Crispy Squares and I should probably sub in a shake instead. More water for sure. Are you guys doing any exercise? I'm walking 10K-18K steps a day. Helpful or hindering? Open to all suggestions. I know we can all do this, right?!
by (3.1k points)
@musician I’m sure you already know this, but each cheat takes you out of ketosis so it takes 3 days to get back into that state again.

@musician walking is great and I have noticed that helps with weight loss as well. You got this and don’t give up.
by (5k points)
@loram Thanks for your encouragement. I'm back in the groove today. I went from having a very physical job to being unemployed. All of the walking I do probably doesn't burn half of what a full day or work (for 21 years) did. I've been trying to give myself credit for sticking to it 90% of the time unemployed in quarantine but I need to buckle down and get these last pounds gone!

@musician that is how I feel. I am going to up my walking and start rucking. Excited to try something new and build more muscle.

Change up the Ip foods you typically eat- maybe go to all drinks/shakes/ skip the restricted / less red meat

I also have 10 pounds to lose. I lost 4 pounds last week. I am hoping to be in maintenance by 6/11 which is my 45th birthday. Fingers crossed and staying on protocol.
by (2k points)
@loram good luck. I want a One # for my birthday 6/8!

I was stalled for three weeks until I had to go to the ER and didn't eat for 12 hours. Now I'm down 3 pounds 3 days later, haha.
by (1k points)
Leah, I’m thinking I’ll skip that one
by (5k points)
@ziagos oh boy, glad you are feeling better though. Not fun for sure.

Walk; the WALK MORE! I don’t recommend fasting or not eating regularly becouse it can send your body into “starvation “ mode. You will either stop loosing or even gain wait.

Also I forgot, take out any chips or crackers and replace with a drink, bar or something sweet. I noticed I had problems loosing and when I looked there was more salt in the chips so I eliminated those first. I was back on track so for me salt is a problem. Also I drink 90oz of water. My body does better that way. Other wise I have trouble with  and weight. It’s connected folks!

At this point, follow protocol but reduce calories. I suggest using the ideal AP to assist and use a net. calculator to determine your calories for the day. Use soups, puddings, jello
The Ideal Protein Protocol Group is where you can always find questions, answers, advice, reviews & recommendations from other community members about recipes, tips, and support for Phase 1 of the Ideal Protein Protocol.
