I’ve been on IP since Oct 2019. For the last 3-4 of weeks I’ve been loosing less than a pound a week. I’m following the protocol. All I’ve changed since I’m closer to my goal is to workout daily for 30 min. My coach said that I’m confusing my body from building muscle and burning fat (my workout isn’t heavy, just a little cardio). Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing? I thought working out would help me get to my goal little quicker. I’m just confused because when I started the program, my coach told me I could do light workouts and now she’s telling me I need to not workout as much. Help!

I work out and lose weight at a slower rate than most . I average 1-1. 5 pounds per week but I’m ok with that. I drink my BCAA’s and my muscle mass is going up and body fat going down so I’m pleased.

@lame87127 I was averaging 1. 5-2. 5 a week and now it’s less. I am losing inches though.

@nationalize399 , inched are great! Does your clinic do a full weigh in? Weight, muscle mass , BMI, etc?

If you’re still shedding inches, no worries! The body is designed to move. It craves it. toning muscle is good for it but will Counterbalance weight loss. Don’t focus on the weight loss, focus on getting healthier. which includes the exercise. #MovementIsLife

You might be building muscle , how does your body compositions look like ? Sometimes we see bigger loses with people not working out. Walking and biking is fine .

Don't give up going to the gym. Just don't. It creates a horrible habit where you think you don't have to work out. Just don't do as much weight training. I do aminos while working out. Drink lots of water. Take all your supplements.

@coretta33 My coach just gave me a sample of the aminos. I didn’t know I should be taking it too.

@nationalize399 omg. Aminos during your work out. I put that packet in 64 oz of water. It's too strong for me. But yeah, aminos! Drink them

Cardio is different than. walking around the block a bit. Working 30 minutes a day, cardio, is not in the program. cells tend to retain fluid for sometime after a workout. Plus the increase in exercise is putting you more into a starvation mode ( hope you r having an extra packet within 15 minutes of the work out ) which will slow weight loss. But whatever. as long as you are aware of different results.

You’re probably still losing inches if you’re working out but it may not reflect on the scale because muscle weighs more .

I have to wonder if it isn’t just the season, and lack of daylight. I’m slowing down to 1-2lbs and 1-2 inches a week too. Frustrating after the big drops but still going in the right direction :)

My first time on the program it was very counter intuitive for me not to exercise. But every time I did, it was harder to maintain the quick pace of fat loss, even if I added the extra protein. I finally just accepted that the work outs can start after goal is reached.

I’m in favor of working out and losing slower. Don’t forget your non scale victories. Like clothes fit better etc. I followed my coaches advice to not work out and after dropping 100lbs have lose skin everywhere. Wish I had done that differently.

Yes working out with light weights and light cardio is a must so you won’t get loose skin which I’m my books is worse than fat! Make sure you take your amino when working out! ️‍♀️

I have been working out 4 days a week for an hour since I started IP in September. I’m down 37 lbs and it is going slower now, but I wanted to be toned too. I do drink the BCAA drinks everyday that I exercise, and sometimes eat a 4th packet. I’m 3lbs from goal weight now.

@indoxyl I’ve only had it once. I didn’t know about it until last week. My coach just told me I should be taking them. She’s known I’ve been working out over a month ago.

I was going to ask about this. 1: I never have been to a coach- I have just researched the alternative stuff and read protocol information. 2: my job has me on feet all day to include 10 flights of stairs most days- so I hit about 8-10k steps everyday just at work alone. I have always been confused on if I should eat a 4th packet or stick the three. I’m pretty new at this so haven’t been able to test the waters with the 4th packet yet. I move a lot throughout the day but it’s not like working out for a solid time chunk- should I stick to 3 and see how it goes or add in the 4th? ‍♀️

Muscles weighs more. once your body finds the new routine of work consistent things will get back on track. Cardio is great, don’t give it up. Just be patient and maintain moving forward

1 pound is 1 pound no matter what is being weighed. 1 pound of muscle is smaller and more compact than 1 pound of fat.

This happened to me too when I started working out. My coach kept telling me to have another IP food, but I refused to for about 3 weeks because I thought it'd make me slow the weight loss. After no loss, I finally started having a shake before working out, and guess what!? I started loosing again!
