Does anyone have a good recipe for the mug cake? Sometimes it feels like it’s kind of dry to me and it’s so clumped together

I make it into a waffle. So good! Mix mug cake with a teaspoon of baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, butter flavored extract or whatever flavor you have that you like. Mix with dry ingredients with cold water until consistency that you like and cook in waffle maker. I put a little butter flavored olive oil on waffle grill too.

@delisle38 I came here to say that! It is my absolute favorite IP product I would eat it every morning. In fact I do unless I run out! I don’t cook it at all

Mix with slightly less water than instructed and put 3 spoonfuls on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 9-10 min. Texture is way better than in the microwave.

I add a little extra water and microwave it only 25 seconds. it gets more of a doughy texture

@tallyman this is what we do and it’s soooo good. We do about 2oz of water and microwave for 22 seconds and it’s like warm fluffy cookie dough! Probably our favorite nighttime snack.

I put in the same water but microwave for 95 seconds. Then I turn it on a paper towel to let the cake firm up a bit.

@egregious 95 seconds?

@rebutter9 yes. Too mushy for me if I don't. Makes a muffin consistency.

@egregious gotcha. I thought maybe it was a typo, I like mine undercooked and mushy so I couldn’t picture what would happen if you cooked it got that long lol

@rebutter9 last night I tried someone else's idea of spooning it onto a cookie sheet and baking in the oven. Awesome idea! Like chocolate chip fluffy doughnut holes.

We love it either made into the Texas turtle muffins from janevas cookbook or made with 2oz water and microwaved for 22 seconds (1000 watt microwave) and it make it like a warm fluffy cookie dough.

Just had this yesterday. Mixed the mug cake packet with a dark choc pudding packet. 1/4 tsp baking powder. 4-5 Tbs of water and an egg. Mix well, microwave for 1 minute in a sprayed bowl. Ate 1/2 warm, yum, almost like a brownie. Ate the 2nd 1/2 as my snack with a cup of rhubarb compote (vegetable). So good!

I like to make a pancake with it using liquid egg whites instead of water. The trick is to NOT overcook, use a lower heat and remove from pan just before you think it's done
