For financial and health reasons, I have had to move off of phase one for the time being. Does anyone know anything about the alternative eating plan? I feel like I may have seen some references to it on here at some point. Any recommendations would be super helpful! I don't want to backtrack, and would want to try to continue to lose if possible! I was only about 4 lbs. from my goal weight!

Now might be a good time to move to the new phase 2. You could still potentially lose on this phase.

This will require your coaches help.

Yes ! It’s a great plan and I’ve had many successful dieters succeed with it . do you have a coach ?

@binky I do have a coach but they said they don't have an alternative plan. Maybe I should ask about moving to phase 2.

@hot53879 if you look in the files on this page the alternative phase 1 protocol sheet was posted in January. I would show this to your coach. or see if there is another coach in your clinic who is better trained ‍♀️

@binky it’s scary how some coaches don’t know the plan ‍♀️. I’ve been to two clinics - One had ALL awesome coaches - the other only the owner was knowledgeable (the others were part time college kids who were never on the plan themselves).

There is an alternative face group with sheets & alternate products. No counseling but group supports each other

If only 4 pounds from goal talk to your coach about phase 2. That would be your best move.

So my coach has not responded about phase two. Does anyone have any information I could use about that? I hate not having a plan in place because I know that's when I get off track!

It all depends on your weight, height, BMR. If you want to do the Step-down week, you can take your IP lunch packet and replace it with 4-6 ounces lean whole protein like you do at dinner. Breakfast would be IP packet, lunch 4-6 ounces lean whole protein and 2 cups select vegetables, dinner 4-6 ounces lean whole protein and 2 cups select vegetables, and IP snack.
The Ideal Protein Protocol Group is where you can always find questions, answers, advice, reviews & recommendations from other community members about recipes, tips, and support for Phase 1 of the Ideal Protein Protocol.
