What’s happening now is your body is out of ketosis. so you are possibly craving sugars. and are experiencing hunger that you normally don’t on IP. Just focus on getting back to plan. You can do it. if you are struggling and have to eat a fourth packet to get back into the swing of things it’s ok! (Just not an extra restricted). Most likely, a lot of the five pounds is fluid and you should see it come off quickly. Good luck! You’ve got this!

I am hopping back on with you after a long hiatus - I want to lose the rest of my weight before the summer. I have 15-20 pounds to go and it seems harder to get my head in the game this time around but. focus on the great success and how amazing you feel when you're being successful and you can do this! Congratulations on your 50 lb loss!

I hear ya loud and clear. down 55 and 10 to go. I seem to get on program for 3 or 4 days and fell, off hard. I am also struggling like crazy. once again. I’m on day 2 of IP program. and already I feel better. so why sabotage myself. grrrrrr.

With ya, girlie. I get to the same. 3-4 days then CRAVE crap that I know will NOT be worth it yet do it anyway. For me, I know I get frustrated with a stall and throw in the towel.

I can sympathize. It’s definitely a struggle. I am totally a foodie… I love food. But it does not love me back the way I want to be loved ! LOL

Not to a downer but you can see that once you finish the diet you can’t go back to your old ways. The weight will come back quick. This is a lifestyle change. You can do it. I’m on it for the second time. Gained back 30 of the 65 I lost. It took me 3 years to gain it back. I’m down 10 of the 30 in 3 weeks. You’ve got this!
by (10.3k points)
What exactly is the lifestyle change? I am serious. this is my first time on IP, I have lost 40lbs in 3 months. I am scared to not do this. I dont' want to gain like so many of you have. But I also don't want to eat SOY packets and sucralose the rest of my life. I am not sure what life is supposed to be like when not doing packets/protein drinks. I know I eat way more veggies than ever before which is great. I feel great. I want to continue to feel great. My coach is not very informative. So please, what is life/eating like without the packets? High protein Keto?

@belamy Cochran a keto lifestyle is good to follow after you lose the weight.

Accept that going up and down is part of the process, much like grief or any other journey. Remind yourself how far you’ve come and train your mind and body that you are in control. You’ve got this!
by (1.1k points)
GiGi Waits , thank you! You are so right when you say it is a process and a grieving one at that. I truly love food. I consider it a BFF it’s there no matter what , happy , sad , it’s been my best friend for a long time. I keep feeling like I have to break up with it but in essence I need to create healthy boundaries something I’m also working on!

I’m right there with you. I only had a few pounds left to lose and totally sabotaged myself. I’ve gain 6 pounds back and am back to my old habits. I’d like to blame the pandemic but I fell off before it started. I know I feel better when I follow protocol both emotionally and physically. I know it’s a lifestyle change and I have to do it. I just need to climb back on the wagon.
by (1.1k points)
@heisser7224 , could not agree more! I have sabotaged myself plenty! no one’s going to advocate for us like we can advocate for ourselves! It’s not a matter of if we can do it , we both know we can . it’s just doing it! Wishing you much success today!

I’m in the same boat fell off Saturday, got back on Sunday, had an ice cream sandwich Sunday night yesterday was OK. And here I am on Tuesday craving sugar but staying on the plan. Stay strong ladies we can all do this!

@plectrum99 , Oh I sympathize with you , my downfall was apple pie on Easter and the crazy part is I’m not even a huge fan of apple pie! Just like the devil to use apple pie dressed in a beautiful flaky buttery crust/ with a decadent crumble topping!
by (11.7k points)
Mine was my own cooking for my family! I couldn’t resist the Carney Asada, mashed potatoes and refried beans. So I said fuck it and asked my husband to go get me some beer! Oh did I mention the tortillas! I’m sabotaging myself!

Prepare for success. Count out your water for today. Chop vegetables for extra snacks in case you are tempted today. Plan your meals. Track. You know how to do this.

You can do this . you know how to do this . so let's do this. Do you think you are the only one who went off for Easter, and put on a couple pounds? No, you are not . We are all human, and this has been such a stressful time for everyone. So a little cheating, eating the delicious foods we used to have every day . it's was normal for some people, including ME. So we just get back on that horsie, and start our ride again. You didn't commit murder . you just slipped a little. You go girl . you can do this. Dig down to your inner strength, and let the Dragon come out.! Good Luck.! <3

Once in awhile I just hafta take a Break . Own it. Remember it and crawl back on the diet train. We are all struggling but our reasons have not changed.
by (1.1k points)
@irmairme , own it ! So much Truth. I need to Except I made a poor choice and stop making excuses and start showing some results from committing to the program!

I’ve also lost 50 and have 35 to go. I also took a break on Sunday. It’s been hard getting back on -mainly because of the hunger pains yesterday and today that I’d forgotten about. I think tomorrow will be better. Come back and we’ll stay the course together. ❤️

The good news is although you went off, you probably didn't gain 5 actual pounds (probably water, etc. ). A pound = 3, 500 calories, so if you were way off track for 3 days, you would have had to eaten 17, 500 calories on top of what one eats in a single day just walk, breath, talk. It will take 2-4 days to get back in weight loss mode, but hang in there, and you'll be back on track!
