I am finishing up my third week and having been doing well. I have been weighing my food and sticking to protocol. Last night, however, I measured my meat, but ended up eating more once I was done with my measured meat. Like, I ate A LOT more. The thing is, I don’t know why I did it except that it tasted really good. I am soooo mad at myself and my stomach, this morning, feels like there is a weight in it. Uggg. I know it’s going to mess up my weight loss for the week. Is there anything I can do today, besides sticking to protocol?

Keep sticking to it, pretend like it hasn't happened! It's protein, even if it throws off one day with a few too many calories, it's not like sugar/carbs that will refill glycogen etc.

Agree with the others here. It happened, nothing can undo, move on. Don't beat yourself up either. You may want to think about how you'll fight off the urge to do it again in the future (e. g., maybe put the food away in fridge before you have your meal, you'll drink 2 cups of water before your meal, etc).

Just do your best every day, and know that you're not perfect, especially in a world pandemic  Your best is good enough every day, and the next morning when you feel like crap remember that feeling. cause when you know how it feels you'll be able to do better next time you're in the same situation. You're never messing up an entire week, it was just one day, and today is another chance to do your best  I'm proud of you for working on yourself

Yum . if you're going to cheat . meat is the way too go. just dont be too mad at yourself. I have eaten extra meat and not thought it hurt me too bad. you might want extra water and watch for constipation. in that case is a laxative ASAP.

Don't be too mad at yourself! Eating extra protein won't throw you off ketosis! Much better than cheating with sugars, alcohol, or carbs! Whenever I over consumed I didn't gain weight, but it just slowed my loss. No big deal and forgive yourself, okay?

Better to overeat protein, extra veggies or another IP food than a slice of bread or mini cupcake. Stick with it you got this.

Only high carbs & sugar can mess up a whole week.

A little xtra Meat won’t mess you up . in my experience, slow you down a little , but bread , rice , sugar , carbs . that will destroy it

Pure protein isn’t the worst thing. Forgive yourself and move on. I get other folks in my house to put away the food once I have mine cause that is the danger zone for me.

Actually I eat extra protein at least twice a week. I don’t lose four or five lbs a week but I generally average 1-2. Protein isn’t the worst for you.
