I am on my fourth week and am really struggling. Hungry all the time, even after each meal. I’ve lost weight each week, but I’m sure at next weigh-in I will have gained. What would you all recommend to stop the hunger?

Oh i didnt know that. im kinda off on my own ptotocol i guess because i like beef rather than chicken because of what chickens eat. We raise our own beef and know whats in it. Beef really fills me up. Its a very good protein.

If you are convinced that antibiotics stay in the body, depending who you talk to. then reason has it that what chickens eat, especially free range chickens . i dont want that in my body.

My coach told me yesterday no bone broth as it's too high in fat.

My first month I made two extra hard boiled eggs. I ate them in between when I was starving and it totally helped. After the first 4-6 weeks the hunger gets better. Also veggies to snack on helps, like pickles, cucs, celery.

I found that I don’t even get hungry until 10:30ish if I don’t make myself eat first thing in the morning. But when I make myself eat early, I only stay full for a couple hours at a time. So pushing it back until I truly feel hungry has helped

All of the above are great suggestions. Also the new phase 1 now allows konjac or sharataki noodles for those who are feeling hungry.

I get really hungry the week before my period. It only lasts 2-3 days but during that time I allow myself a bit more protein such as an egg or some extra meat from supper.

I eat when I’m hungry staying within protocol. Sometimes I have a fourth packet or extra animal protein if I really need it. For example when I’ve been awake for more then 15 hours and/or I’m very active.

I start eating later in the day, I make a cabbage soup with allowed veggies to eat hot when I am hungry, hot tea with stevia when I crave sweets . Have extra egg whites with salad .

@page699 what is your favorite cabbage soup recipe. Ive been roasting it and am obsessed!
by (1.6k points)
@autotruck •I sauté 2 leaks ( or 2 bunches of green onions), 2-3 cloves of garlic in 2 TBS. of olive oil, I add 1 pepper, 3 sticks of celery, salt and pepper. After a couple of minutes I add half of cabbage ( chopped) water to cover the veggies and bring to a boil. I also like to add cauliflower chopped. 1 can of tomatoes sauce or peeled tomatoes, parsley and thyme if you like.

A full 24-40oz sweet hot tea or water enhancers with a meal helps me a ton.

I also snack on radishes or sautéed spinach and mushrooms if I’m too hungry.

Honestly I just started my 4th week and I’m insatiable for some reason. My coach gave me some great advice. Hard boil a huge batch of eggs, peel them and keep them handy in the fridge. I usually pack 2 in my lunch for work. If I’m still hungry after lunch I eat one. It has helped greatly! Make sure you subtract it from your total daily meat protein though. Hang in there! You’ve got this!

Check out Janevas Ideal Recipes Phase 1 FB page. Several good recipes in her Files. If you don't have her cookbook, get it. It was a game changer for me.

I drink a mixture of hot water, a splash of chocolate premade, and caramel skinny syrup. I tell myself that the reason it works is that my stomach muscles quit their hunger spasms because of the heat of the water. Kind of like a lovely internal jacuzzi . It works! And tastes great!

I had this problem too . and it will slow down. My coach suggested lean cooked chicken chunks. For little snacks . Which increased my protein. But I needed it . And I lost. I also increased my water and alternated it our free vegetable. So I would pre-bag lettuce in chunks or mushrooms and those would be my go to snacks.

When I am really hungry, I eat soup made with chicken broth and vegetables and/or more IP foods.
