Is anyone struggling with emotions/hormonal changes? I am 2 1/2 weeks in, down 10 lbs and so far I have felt great. Today I was soooo cranky and impatient and I'm normally very easy going. Everyone and everything annoyed me today and this evening I've been super emotional and just feel like balling. I'm guessing it's the major shift happening in my body but I guess I expected that to happen in the first few days. Anyone else experience this?

Me too! Grouchy, emotional, sharp to bark. Usually I'm pretty slow to anger but not lately. Sometimes I get really hungry all of a sudden and my tolerance level gets very low.

@napoleon I find it ebbs and flows. Some days I could eat my own arm. Some days I'm shocked at the time that has gone by & hurry to get my meals in. Some days I eat an extra package & others I brush my teeth, go to bed early, just try to get to the next day.

Oh Yes. I'm one of the most non-confrontational people you'll ever meet IRL. I have nightmares about getting into verbal fights and hurting people's feelings. But there were days when I was on the plan that I was doing that and more, and at WORK too, to my coworkers! And then I'd moodswing the other way and struggle not to cry. It was insane. I don't know why being on the diet/in keto affected me like that but it definitely seemed to correlate to time of the month stuff. I've heard it can also make birth control less effective? My coach couldn't really say why it was screwing with me like that but boy howdy was it ever. It's something that you really have to just breathe through and wait out. It'll simmer down eventually, at least for a bit.

Hormones are stored in our fat. As we burn our fat they release in waves. Just think of all the fat you are burning when you feel the mood swings.

@napoleon It usually evens out as you get a bit further into the program and your body adjusts to the changes. For now just keep visualizing those fat cells getting zapped and melting away. ⚡️⚡️⚡️

I've been on the program for 7 months and I still deal with this  I just keep telling myself that it will get better once I lose my weight, just gotta keep pushing through and my friends/loved ones know that I dont mean half the shit I say  it gets better!

Yasss! In one at the videos on the app. It spoke about how fat also stores hormones and as you lose weight you may get a rush of hormones in your system. I assume that’s what’s going on.

I had a day like this yesterday but I attributed it to the gray weather and gloom.

Yes, two things are happening. One goes through carb withdrawal. Both physically and psychology. no different than getting off of cigarettes, drugs, etc. second is, as above, hormones are stored in fat and are released. The hormone release should have been discussed during your orientation, especially if of child bearing age. There have been many unexpected bundles of joy. and also the effects on mood.

I just thought about this and I’m not sure if Midol (not sure about the spelling) for PMS would help this. ‍♀️
