Hi fellow IPers!  I started IP about three weeks ago.Hi fellow IPers! I started IP about three weeks ago. I’ve come to realize I hate the soups. What are some other IP product favorites that you guys enjoy that I can make for lunch/other meals work? I’m leaning towards only doing shakes and bars.

I love either the chocolate chip pancakes or chocolate Carmel mug cake for breakfast, and either ranch or nacho cheese dorados with a salad for lunch, or one of the bars. My favorite snack is chocolate crispy bars. The chili is good, too, but I had to cook up some veggies like red pepper, mushrooms & zucchini in a pan then add it to the simmering chili along with chili powder & other spices.

I like the Chicken Patties too, with sauteed mushrooms, red peppers, and spinach. I use the same veggie mix for a couple of eggs thrown in. Just reduce my protein in half at night. I also like the brocolli and cheese soup with 2 cups of broccoli or a mix of cauliflower and broccoli cut up & steamed in the microwave for about 2-3 mins. Delicious and super quick!

The only soup I like is the broccoli cheese with extra broccoli in it. I use the tomato basil to make the bruschetta crackers, those are really good too.

I just made the tomato soup into a wrap (from Jenevas cook book) topped with sugar free bbq sauce, raw spinach, sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers and garlic and topped with a fried egg. It’s great!

@aristate how do u make into a wrap?
by (4.4k points)
It is Jenevas cookbook. I can’t share the recipe due to copyright issues but it is definitely worth getting her cookbook

I can only eat the shakes and bars
by (230 points)
@stegman which ones do you typically get/ how do you eat them though out the day?

I almost always have a chocolate or vanilla shake for breakfast. For lunch I always have a bar - the coconut chocolate bar is my top favorite but I like them all. And for my snack I normally have a shake opposite of what I had for breakfast. Some days it’s boring but no one said changing your lifestyle and on a diet is anything exciting!

I like the broccoli soup & the potato purée (as a soup) to use as a sauce for cooked vegetables. And I like the maple oatmeal with cooked rhubarb, pancakes, omelette, chili, bars, apple cinnamon puffs, chocolate soy puffs . Lol I guess I like most of it

I make the soups into the “breads” in Janeva’s cookbook. Sometimes I make her potato pita bread wrap (p. 31) recipe with different soups and dip them in my daily allotted olive oil. My favorite of all that takes a bit more work is the broccoli cheese loaf bread on page 22! Honestly, the cookbook is the key to my success. I’m 60 lbs down.

I use the potato purée to make sandwich buns in the oven. This is my own recipe I made up and use all the time. I add one packet of IP potato purée, 1 egg 1/4 tsp baking soda Then I add water until it’s the consistency of pancake batter. I line my Baking sheet with parchment paper and grease it lightly. Spread out your batter into 4 circles(4 buns=2 sandwiches) make it thin like pancake batter would be. Bake at 350 until brown underneath and puffy on top. Doesn’t take very long so watch them closely! Takes about 4 minutes approximately Makes yummy sandwiches! Here’s a picture of an egg sandwich I made! Sometimes I make meat sandwiches with mustard!

This time I made them rectangular and folded to make a ham sandwich

by (520 points)

Have you tried adding chicken broth to the soups? I added to the chicken noodle and broccoli cheese and it was a game changer. Also added broccoli or riced cauliflower. But my favorite was the chili poured over zuchhini noodles that was seasoned with chili powder. Also ate the dorados with fresh salsa and a salad. Or made the pancakes into muffins.

I like to crush the chips (any flavor) and use as breadings on chicken and to make fried pickles with.

The only thing that gets me through this diet is being allow to have 2 shakes a day instead of 1 breakfast and 1 lunch item. I survived the first 2 weeks off of Dorados ( I did try multiple different things but couldnt do it. ) After eating only dorados it didnt take long to be disgusted by them. I went into my weigh in as per usual and explained my lunch scenario with my coach - she agreed to allow me to have 2 shakes, however I have to have extra salt each day. I HATE salt and salty things so I get my salt in by doing salt shots each day
by (110 points)
@goddord Maher how much salt do you need if you have two shakes a day?
by (150 points)
@gottschalk 1/2 teaspoon
by (110 points)
@goddord Maher thank you! So you stay full drinking two shakes per day? I am thinking of going this route.

Yes! I find the 3 products a day plus 4 cups of veg and protein too much! If you find that you're getting hungry I was told to just have a boiled egg with your shake and veg and just subtract it from your protein for supper - I havent had to do that as I wasnt a big eater to begin with. Just dont forget the salt! ( I usually do, as I HATE salt - even before this diet- but my coach could not stress it enough about the extra salt )

I always get the same exact things and am happy with that - oatmeal or pancake for breakfast, dorados crumbled up on a garden salad for lunch and then a wafer bar at night.
by (2.6k points)
@gangway yes I have my protein and the other two cups of veggies for dinner

It takes awhile to learn how to tweak all the packets to suit your taste. for me I think that adding tons of black pepper and/ or a dash of Sri racha to soups makes them much better . and if you have Janeva’s cookbook there are lots of recipes to make packets into breads and muffins that also help

The new ranch Doritos with salsa are great. I add side salad with veggies and feel full. Also we cook eggs with veggies if you have access to kitchen. Chili with veggies too.

My go to lunch is a pasta salad made with the IP rotini and walden farms creamy Italian. I throw what ever veggies I have in (peppers, onion, cabbage, zucchini, broccoli mostly).
