What are your favorite IP foods? I got the starter pack and am having trouble loving any of them.

Are the bars considered a meal or a snack? / i'm just starting this , coach was very vague.
by (1.6k points)
@chokedamp either.
by (4k points)
@panicle they are restricted though I think
by (1.7k points)
@demarcation totally. But so good!
by (3.1k points)
@chokedamp you can have any of the packages any time of day. Just need to have 3 per day- only 1 can be restricted.
by (10.7k points)
@alienation58 thanks but i'm still confused at this answer.
by (10.7k points)
@aguish good to know.
by (3.1k points)
You can eat the same product 3x day if you like or mix it up. The only rule is you can only have one of the “restricted” items per day. Does that help clarify?
by (3.6k points)
@panicle not all bars are restricted

I always found the starter packs awful. I steer clear of soups, or any entree type food

by (1.6k points)
@chokedamp yes.
by (10.7k points)
Could you choose? had my first vanilla drink. consistancy of whale snot. gross
by (10.7k points)
Bag of chips were good, a snck i hope
by (1.6k points)
@chokedamp I did not get to choose what’s was in my starter pack. The vanilla drink I went and got 2 shots of espresso over ice from Starbucks and dumped the drink over that. I don’t like to drink my meals. I’ve never been a shake person.
by (5.5k points)
@chokedamp how do you know the consistency of whale snot? Lol
by (10.7k points)
@preciado imagination, , had a friend in high school that used to call yogurt that. 53 years ago.

I love the lemon, chocolate wafers, mug cake, nacho dorados, using the potato purée for frying food, cookie dough bars, broccoli and cheese soup with roasted broccoli as part of my veggies for the day. I use the chicken patty but not as a patty just sautéed w veggies

Broccoli and cheese soup with steamed broccoli and the chicken soups are my lunch go to’s I doctor them up with a little seasonings Chocolate drink mix with 2 shots of espresso warm or cold is my typical morning I think it tastes better than Starbucks but also I will take the packet and mix it with a tiny bit of water to make it like a thick cake batter and it tastes like chocolate cake batter soooo good Occasionally I will do the ranch dorados with a homemade salsa but I’m not super big in the chips however I loveeeee the southwest cheese curls, I will also use these to crush them up and “bread” chicken tenders Vanilla squares, chocolate soy puff balls, are my fave snacks. but the new salted caramel chocolate clusters are like the Girl Scout cookie of the ideal protein line sooooo good
by (480 points)
@reptant454 it’s really good! I put them in the air fryer so they get crispy too!
by (2.1k points)
When you bread the chicken with the Dorados or cheese curls how do you cook them?
by (480 points)
@instrumentality6957 I will dip them in egg whites and then bread them in the crushed cheese curls and then I put them in the air fryer for about 20 minutes
by (2.1k points)
@ethiopian27 sounds good!

I love the chocolate drink mix either in my coffee in the morning( tastes like a fancy mocha drink! ) or as a shake with spinach for lunch. I also use the chips for a crunch addition to salads at lunch time. Love the brownie and wafers and the new salted caramel snacks. I also love to add whatever stir fry veggies I have on hand to either the mushroom couscous or veggie chile.

I didn’t like any of the soups or entrees. I’ve learned to adapt the ready-made vanilla shake as my coffee creamer and have the peach mango smoothie as my dessert for lunch. I also like the mint chocolate protein bar. But that’s been about it!
by (10.7k points)
Is the protein bar considered a meal?
by (1.2k points)
@complaisance the mint bar is too minty!

For breakfast foods I do oatmeal or mug cake as a waffle (add egg whites) Lunch I eat salad and part of my protein ( chicken, tuna, taco beef) Sometimes I’ll do a chili pack instead Snack is a wafer, bar, or vanilla drink over espresso Dinner is veg and protein IP pack for evening snack bar, wafer or flings, dorados I keep it pretty simple as once I’m in ketosis I’m not hungry and it’s just fuel for my body Mostly I eat real foods (veggies and protein) and use the IP products as supplemental foods or snacks

Don’t love most of it, but like salted caramel clusters, nacho dorados, s+v crisps, trail mix, vanilla ready drinks, pancakes, vegetable chili, sw cheese curls and the wafers. Hate the drink powders, entrees, and don’t like most of the bars.

When there are packets I don't like I make a recipe with them. I also had a starter bag and most of the stuff didn't appeal to me. If I thought they would be nasty I didn't even try them and made something else with them. You can find recipes online and also Janeva's cook book is a game changer. My favorites to eat straight out of the packet are the Dorados (Nacho or Ranch), the new salted caramel clusters, vanilla crispy squares, and chocolate wafers. It's hard at first but you start figuring out what you like and it gets better. If your clinic doesn't sell individual packets, check around to see who does. That made a big difference for me to be able to try things out without being stuck with 7 packets of something I hated.

You won’t love any of them till your body chemistry changes and you drop into ketosis. That will happen week 2 or three. You will know becouse everything starts tasting sweet and you feel better. Your through detox so no more shakes, head aches or muscle cramps. Till then stick with savory stuff.

There’s a starter pack? I really think i got gipped on the location i am associated with☹️
by (4k points)
@schechinger57841 Mendola Beeman my location gave a weeks supply (that we paid for) with a variety of protein to try. I ended up just choosing my own.
by (1.6k points)
@schechinger57841 Mendola Beeman ya a $400 starter pack
by (9k points)
@schechinger57841 Mendola Beeman different centers pick different stuff for starter packs. My center has a trading box so if something doesn’t appeal to you then you trade one for one. Some of our choices are lifestyle based; I’ll do pancakes or omelettes as I shelter in place but don’t find time otherwise.
by (9.2k points)
@schechinger57841 Mendola Beeman I still paid for it. However, I cam back with some packets and they bought them back from me.

I love the crisp cereal and vanilla drinks for breakfast. I cannot live with out my Doritos for lunch! The new snacks just rolled out for deserts are amazing. Make sure to get your faves moving forward! It really helps. (I do not do the IP vitamins) I buy mine from Costco-larger qty and better price. ;/ I had blood work done and know which actual vitamins I need-like B12 and D.

Some are gross, chocolate mint bars, wafers, cc pancakes, vanilla drink mix for coffee, chilli over turnips, most of the bars are good. Oatmeal good, could always make rhubarb compost to add also.
