Hey all~ so, today is day 1! I have all my packs and ready to rock but have a few questions. My coach isn’t around for the next few days so wanted to reach out to you all and get some help. Firstly, oils. how much are we allowed? The sheet doesn’t have any specifics Secondly. some people said they eat eggs, cottage cheese and fruit BUT on the info sheet I was given, none of those are listed. A little confused- help

The cottage cheese and fruit is only on the diabetic plan

@spelter5 it is for diabetics, those that exercise or have problems with the restrictiveness of the regular. It adds a grain, dairy and fruit. Weight loss sometimes is slower as ketosis is very low. My husband lost 60 pounds though at average of 2. 5 pounds a week.

I started with the alternative Phase I as I am diabetic, just until my sugars balanced out, then switched to the regular Phase I.

The sheet says 2 tsp, not ounces, of oil. It has Never been ounces. It is at the top. Eggs are under poultry. Both have been on the old and new sheets.

Congrats! You will do great! Just plan each day and take it meal by meal . After a few days it does become easier. 1-2 teaspoons of oil and cottage cheese and fruit are not allowed ( unless you are directed by your coach) You got this and its the only "diet" that has ever worked for me ( ever) lost 35 pounds 3 years ago and have gained about 8 back so I am doing IP again ( so far 12 pounds in a few days over a month! )

You will and you will feel so much better. I actually love the IP food but stick to the bars, chips, wafers and more of the snack type foods ( love pizza made with potato puree) and eat all my veggies and protein. Sometimes I remind myself that I want to do this not have to so that it makes it more bearable when I am making something for my family that isn't protocol for me. Enjoy !

@margarethe It is exactly 2 teaspoons, not 1-2. We need the full 2 tsp every day.

@norward2913 mix 3 tablespoons of water, I tsp oil and season to taste and mix ! On a sprayed pan put the "ball"" of #dough' and I use a spatula to flatten. Bake about 6 minutes at 350 on one side flip, poke a few holes with fork and bake for another 6 minutes. I top with pizza sauce and leftover veggies and put back in oven for 10 minutes! Janevas cookbook is so helpful!

@brackely If your sheet says tablespoons, then it’s a typo. Big difference in calories and fat if you’re doing tablespoons.

You are going to do great! I noticed a huge boost in my mood on day 1. I didn’t realize all the sugar and crabs made me down right cranky, mean and depressed. Wow! I feel like the old me again. ❤️

Just heading to bed- thanks to all of you wonderful people for your encouragement today. Day 1 went well- food wise I was perfect! The only thing I could have done better was drink more water! That’s my goal for tomorrow, and a long walk. I’m feeling good- feeling positive and excited to finally finally finally see some scale movement soon! Thanks again

Eat the sheet. If it is not listed, it's not protocol. Also, be careful about using any 0-0-0 syrups and salad dressings; they add extra carbs that can slow your weight loss. I eliminated them this week and dropped 3 pounds; my weight had stalled because I was using too much of them.
