Talk to me about treating constipation. Yes, I’m getting my veggies. Yes, I’m “eating the sheet”. What’s working for those of you who have issues with this as well?

I don’t have constipation but you can eat the lots of broccoli it’s very high in fiber that should help. Also IP has a supplement that you can take to help with that.

My coach had me but this nasty crap from the drug store. Some magnesium stuff I think, tasted awful, but works, unfortunately it's only a temporary fix. I can't seem to find anything or do anything different that helps in that department. I've been struggling with it since I started in September!

Yes. I’ve done rescue type things. Mag citrate, bisacodyl, senna. I’m looking for something to keep it regular without the use of these harsh stimulants (which are not OK long term).

Aloe-lax 220 mg (Amazon) saves my life! My coach recommended it and I have used it ever since. It is natural.

Senna tea! I have a cup every morning. It helps-
by (5.1k points)
Senna is a stimulant, and shouldn’t be used long term.
by (6.8k points)
I don’t plan on being on phase one long term- it helps with constipation without the potential effects that drugs like miralax can have.
by (5.1k points)
True. I guess I didn’t think about this (phase 1) not being long term!
by (6.8k points)
I know for some- it’s many months, but I’m only expecting to be on through March. So for the short term, fast fix- Senna works beautifully and painlessly

I have the same issue so my coach recommended senna. I take the capsules when I’m having problems.

I am concerned about long term use of Senna. But, thank you for your insight!

Use MCT oil as one of your tspns. of oil each day. I like the Bulletproof brand. You can also add in a product called Concentrace. It’s liquid trace minerals. 15-20 drops in water should help but you can keep adding drops until you get the result you want. They can be used daily and long term with no problem.

I was taking senna every day but just bought MagO7 at GNC, it's just magnesium & potassium capsules. Seems to be working well and is non-habit forming.

@catechist not good! This is what my natural store had. One is a probiotic the other is a antioxidant. It's very useful

This diet constipates me terribly as well. I must have a cup of “smooth move” tea every single night. Sometimes, I need to take stool softeners as well.

Make sure you're taking your daily 2tsp of oil - not oil you cook with. Increase your water to over 90oz, then, try taking 3 omega 3s at night. That usually kicks me right back into regularity.

Be careful with the products that have soy. I love the chocolate soy puffs but had to stop eating them. Magnesium (2 in the morning. 2 at night) will solve the problem. Then just 2 daily.

It constipates me as well. I take a ducolax every now and again. I tried their floralux and it wouldn't work on me all that well. Seems like this is a consistent issue.

I take a tablespoon of Milk of Magnesia & 2 citracil fiber tablets with 16 oz of drink every day. Keeps me going well! I asked my pharmacist if taking 1 Tablespoon of Milk of Magnesia every day would be bad for me & he said it would not be bad.
