If you just started the plan and you are not loosing i would review your journal and see if you are slipping somewhere. Unintentional mistakes happen - especially in the beginning. Are you taking any medications that may contain sugars? (Even NyQuil can kick you out of ketosis). Are you having too many extras (spry gym, Walden farms, Splenda, etc)? Are all your condiments 0/0/0 and contain no added sugars? (I unknowingly was using a soy sauce with sugar, some people use balasamic vinegar which contains sugar). Are you only having one restricted a day? Are you weighing all your veggies? Are you drinking enough water? (With everyone cup of caffeine beverage you need an additional cup of water). Are you taking all your supplements? Are you using meats with hidden sugars or non protocol spices (rotisserie chicken - except one kind from Whole Foods - has added sugars and usually contains MSG. Many people have it with no issues. but technically It is not protocol and can slow you. ). Are you only having two teaspoons of oil? If you have been on the plan for a while and all of a sudden stopped loosing to protocol i recommend mixing things up. If you are having a restricted eliminate it. If you are not having a restricted add one in. Also, if you have the same IP foods every day switch up the type of foods. Many people love and swear by Janevas cookbook. It is great and a huge life saver. Just make sure you are counting all the extras that are in the recipes (Walden farms, Splenda, etc). Also, some people can only have their occasional vegetables at one time. Many people have no issues having a few tomatoes every day in a recipe but if you are doing that and have small losses i wouldn’t recommend it.

How much do you have to lose? As you get closer to your goal the loss slows. And by closer to goal, I mean close to a normal BMI.

@forearm34 I started March 15 and have lost 9 pounds. My goal weight is 120. I have 21 pounds to go. Are you following exactly?

It will come. I have found that when my weight loss slows the inches are coming off. This is my second time on IP. I lost 65 pounds in 7 months back in 2016. In 4 years I gained back 30. I kept to mostly clean eating during that time, but it does creep back up if you’re not careful. Keep on it. It will pay off!

@plea42 yes I’ve lost over 7 inches just waiting for the scale thank you!

@forearm34 they seem to work separately. My biggest inches lost were in the weeks I didn’t lose much weight.

I am losing slowly now but completely okay with it. If I only lose a few lbs this month, I just remember I could be gaining a few lbs this month. It's a cliche but so true: It's a marathon, not a race. If you set your goals out of reach, chances are you'll quit and just gain. Set your standards to reachable goals. Let say you just lose four lbs this month and four the next. In twelve months, how much will you have lost? That's a pretty significant number. Be happy with what you are doing and you'll be more successful. Just my thoughts :)

I would agree with this comment if i was trying to lose weight on my own. But because we r paying so much for this program, I can understand if one would be frustrated that the weight isnt coming off at the speed we expect it to.

1 pound a week was not what we were told when we signed up. Pretty sure many wouldn't be paying for the program if that was the predicted weight loss rate.

I have been on this since mid January. I haven't been this low on a long time and am happy with the loss.

Make sure you are measuring and weighing your proteins and veggies. Drink lots of water. Go for walks. I have not lost 3# in a week since week 1. Guessing it’s my age. (52). My metabolism is probably slower.
