I think I'm burnt out on the packets? Its getting nice and warm meals just aren't satisfying for me. I would rather do shakes twice a day and veggies and then my snack bar in the evening. has anyone else have the same feeling? I'm struggling on what to do.

As long as you’re eating your packets I think it’s fine to eat whichever ones suit you best at the time. You could try making bread and having sandwiches to use other types of packets and not have to eat warm meals

@craggie yes I do that a lot ! I use the crispy cereal to make the best bread when I have a turkey sandwich . I just use 2 oz of my protein at lunch on those days. Works well for me.

You have to do what works for you. I rarely ate anything other than the shakes during the day. Lost 93 lbs. There are no rules that say you have to have a soup for lunch. Keep your food log and see what happens over the next few weeks.

@hah7 thats what I'm thinking. When I take my lunch breaks from work I'm just trying to do 10 thousand things that I'm not even thinking of food. But when I have a shake I just go and drink my shake at the same time!

I only do the shakes, veggies and the snacks. Whenever I try to make something else, I get off track. It’s better for me not to think about it.

We have had cooler weather this week so I have been using chili and soup packets. But I understand. I do a salad with a packet of chips on nicer days. or use some of my protein, like tuna, to change up the salad or eat it ion romaine leaves as "bread"

As long as you do 3 packets and only 1 restricted you are good. I do a shake, bar and chips. It makes it doable for me.

A shake is also considered a “packet”. as long as you have three IP products you are good (only one restricted).

@chokedamp yes, two shakes and a restricted is fine. As long as you are having three IP products (and only one restricted) you are fine. Some people like to have a breakfast packet at breakfast (ie, oatmeal) and a soup for lunch and then chips or a bar for a snack. but you don’t have to. I usually have two shakes (one choc and one vanilla) and either Dorados or Dill Zippers (restricted). You don’t have to eat a restricted every day. I eat about three a week. If your losses slow or stall - your coach may look at the packet combinations and suggest some changes. Sometimes the answer is adding in higher carb/calorie items and sometimes it’s swapping the higher carb/calorie ones with others.

You need to do what is for you. However, that isn’t teaching you how to eat for rest of your life. Try Janevas cook book and plan things to eat that include the packets. If you just have a bar, chips, shake after you are done, your weight will come back right away. Your coach should be helping you to learn alingvwith the videos etc.

I don’t think eating chips, sweets or baked goods made via the cook book are better than shakes for eating post-IP.

I think for phase 1 at least I will try the shakes and just veggies. Maybe when I phase to phase 2 of the diet then I will focus more on meals. My mind just gets overwhelmed with preparing or meal preping what I should do. Its definitely a mind game for just as my coach tells me everytime I see her. If this is what I have to do to get my mind right where it needs to be then I dont think ill struggle as much as I have been.

I always did a coffee in the am, a shake at 9, a salad around noon for veggies, a snack at 2, dinner at 5:30 and a snack at 7:30. It was perfect. Kept me from ever being hungry. I lost 55lbs in 3 Months

@keli51820 the snack was any IP product Coffee I would Do the cream amount we can have and a skinny girl syrup. And on my salad o would have red onion and veggies

If you want to have your 3 packets as shakes, that’s okay. I use 2 of them a day sometimes and have the chicken soup mix for lunch w/my veggies.

@stork97 which shakes do you like the most? I haven’t tried them all yet ? I did make a shake w the vanilla pudding and I do add cold brew concentrate to the ready made vanilla shake. But would like to try others?

@sowder ohhhhh I don’t get that fancy  I like the wild berry and the chocolate are my two favs. I mix spinach in with them to sneak my veggies in.

I used the rotini pasta to make a pasta salad. I use my oil to make up my own homemade Italian dressing, and then I add in my two cups of veggies and sometimes a protein along with the rotini and put it in the fridge to chill

@sowder i dont measure anything so proportions are to taste and appearance. 1) my dressing is apple cider vinegar, olive oil, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, & paprika 2) I usually put in grape tomatoes cut in 1/2, chopped peppers, green onions, chopped mushrooms and chopped cucumbers. alternates I've put in include raw broccoli, raw cauliflower

I eat a packet for breakfast, salad for lunch, afternoon snack (packet) regular dinner (protocol) and an evening packet for “dessert”. I mix it up by baking with packets as well.

I felt defeated with the idea that I should mix things up, but since you brought it to light I’ve come to the conclusion I’m better with just the drinks and a few simple snacks. I’ll restart tomorrow! Exactly the boost I needed.

@diastrophism I just went and saw my coach today! She was absolutely supportive. I got vanilla and chocolate shakes and I'm going to try to either cook my veggies on the side or mix them in my shakes. You'll have to let me know how you're doing soon! ❤❤

So why don't you do that? That is not a problem. You can have cold foods every meal if you so choose. Shakes also have lower carbs than many of the other items so it will help improve your weight loss.

Me too! But I like the pudding packets, Both the vanilla and the chocolate. I add McCormick flavors to them and they are super yummy!

Hey yeah, it's always our choice. We can chose an IP drink instead of packets. I've done this before , but then I get sick of the shakes and go back to the packets.
