The doctor coaching me told me that it’s human to slip up. And the good news is that we don’t have to beat ourselves up over it. Eating clean (on program) for two days allows your body to burn the extra calories you consumed. At first, I didn’t like knowing this. But now I panic less and get back on track easier after I lose control.

I went off protocol for 2 days. Went up a couple lbs. drank tons of water and did good after and was back in track in a few days. It's a little frustrating but definitely not the end of the world. Sometimes that's just the way life goes. I figure I didnt gain it all in one go it's not unreasonable to accept I may not lose it all in one go. ‍♀️

I just fell flat on my face with a cinnamon roll. All we can do is start again the next day and learn from our screw ups and bad moments of judgment. At least that is what I'm telling myself right now.

I have had slips ups every other week since I started and have not seen negative affects at my weigh ins. Drink extra water and don't have restricted items for a couple days. Also drink ginger tea daily, it helps flush out what you just put in your body, my coach suggested it.

This is coming from a person that messes up because I’m human and live in Louisiana and we have good food. it’s worth it and you can get back on it quickly. The day after I Just push more water and get back on track. Move forward and keep going!

Everyone is different. I went off for about a week when we went to vegas. Put 2lbs on but dropped that after 2 days. Lost 2. 7 at my next weigh in a week later and 4. 4 the following week. In my case the week off was easier and I got right back at it after. I work hard not to cheat it's too costly to get back in ketosis. On my last program which is similar we were told it would take 4 days to get back into ketosis that's a lot of wasted money

Depends. Been there done that. Not worth it but it happens. Had scale increase slightly (2 lbs) but could go unscathed. For me, I find that the “instant gratification” wasn’t. I had it in my head how great what I cheated with was going to be but I was wrong . Found my tastes changed thanks to IP. The food was gone but the mental anguish of setting myself back lasted longer than my cheat. Pick yourself up and get back in track. I know this can be hard but think of the money spent and how uncomfortable (or unhappy) you must’ve been/felt for you to start this journey.

THE LITERAL "COST" OF CHEATING = $72 Think of it this way and you may not think the cheat was "worth it" (literally not worth it! ) . It takes 3-4 days to get back into ketosis. $4 per packet x 3 per day = $12 packets per day $12 x 4 days = $48 in packets you have to buy JUST to get back to where you were before the cheat. Add to that the cost of your meat and veggies for four days, say $6 per day x 4 days = $24. Your piece of cake, glass of wine, garlic bread, etc. set you back at least $72!

For your consideration. RATIONALIZING LITTLE CHEATS We can ALL rationalize as much as we want ("It's not as bad as eating a chocolate cake", "We are all human" "It is a lifestyle change and sometimes you just have to have that something extra" "I balance it out" "It won't kick me out of ketosis" "I still lost" etc etc etc) While these statements are "true" they are not truly productive to the bigger picture. Phase One is designed to give us maximum losses in the shortest time possible for each individual when we follow it as designed. However, it is also designed to prepare us both physically AND mentally for maintenance. This is the time when we practice taking control over food instead of continuing to let food take control over us. Wanting/craving something is a battle we need to win over and over in phase 1 in order to win the war in maintenance! Most of us got very good at rationalizing our "little indulgences" over and over and over and over, right into weight gains. Now is the time to get even better at rationalizing why it is important to follow the eating plan WE have chosen in order to bring us lifelong SUCCESS!

It will slow you down for about 1-2 weeks depending on how much you stray. Not worth it! But if you already did, give it 2 weeks and your back on track! Better than quitting!

I totally went off the rails these last few days. I went for my weigh in and told my coach. I also asked not to be weighed because I knew I was not going to be mentally okay with it. Today I am back on protocol 100%. my cheats were totally not worth it. they never are. but I am putting it behind me and moving forward.

I think we all need to chill out lol. We didn’t get fat because we ate too many carrots lol. My mother in law said I just need to eat more carrots. This is not just about weight loss. This is about changing habits that have been life long. Food is associated with good times, getting together, heart chocolates are given in love. Donuts, muffins, at the work place to show appreciation and those things will never ever change. So you took a nibble of cupcakes good for you, you didn’t eat them all! You got off track Good for you realizing you did! We and myself have to break that kind of thinking I blew it so I might as well blow it for the whole day. Thin people don’t think like that. Going off does not blow it! It’s a detour and I’ve had many as I learn to control this thing called Food. Valentine’s Day I had 7 chocolates small miniatures and I stopped huge for me. Good job me! Last night Out back- steak broccoli, salad, water then :here it comes CHEESE CAKE split with my husband. Got home didn’t have any thing else. I stopped huge victory for me! I hate the word “back on” I’m continuing on. If that mind set “I blew it doesn’t change I will never stay at goal weight. The victory is I shared cheesecake and didn’t continue making wrong choices for the night. Every little change we do is a victory! I may not be in ketosis and I may have wasted money but I really didn’t because I’m learning, reteaching , rethinking we all are. Keep going Keep learning one pound at a time. Giving up is failing! Have a fabulous week. Joke: My daughter is on the program also. She’s meeting college friends in San Diego. Her friend told her she tried on her bathing suit and felt like a can of exploded pillsbury biscuits. Lol
