Smoothie! I’ve found that spinach and frozen riced cauliflower work so well! If you still need a touch of sweetness or flavor (I did) try adding a flavor extract or a touch of monk fruit or stevia!

I use a cup of both every morning and knock out two cups before 10 am

@consensus I’ve always just done 2 cups spinach. Never even thought about cauliflower how does that taste?

@burgle can’t taste it! And since it’s frozen, it adds a bit of consistency too

I use cucumber as well!

Soooo what happens if you don’t eat all four cups?
by (1.7k points)
@ziagos you won’t get in enough calories and will stall.

Except I monitor my calorie intake?

@ziagos it's not only about calories but diets heavy in protein are really stressful on our kidneys. So veggies help give the body something easy to digest that it can extract fiber and nutrients from

Make a veggie smoothie with any of the drink mixes you like! I do 3 cups spinach with the berry yogurt drink or a ready made chocolate drink, so good!

I always add spinach to our smoothie, frequently do a broccoli slaw stir fry ( kind of pick out the carrots ) with one or two cups. I microwave first for two minutes and it shrinks a lot. Then add some mushrooms, etc. there is a marina sauce recipe in Janevas book, that I add to. it tastes like Prego, etc. then I zoodles zuchinni and use that for the pasta. lots of veggie recipes in her book. I do a califlower rice and kale with an egg, patty that is good. There is a site listed on the bottom of the sheet ( chef Verdi) or there used to be, that has it on. Have to be careful with the recipes as some are not phase 1. A salad every day helps too.

I'm the same way. I have janevas cookbook and the recipes are good. I usually make the chili con carne. I just made the tortilla soup, tons of veggies. It awesome the next day. I have no problems so I get at least 3 cups in a day with pickles as a snack. I also will add some spinach in a small salad. 1. 1 ounces is a cup of spinach

I just started putting two cups in my smoothie with my IP shake packet. It keeps me fuller longer too.

Chocolate drink blended with frozen cauliflower. Sounds crazy but it is great! You can’t taste the cauliflower. It has the consistency of a frosty. I HATE cauliflower and LOVE this.

I use recipes in the cookbook that incorporate the vegetables into them. Much easier for me this way. Plus I usually add spinach to my chocolate shake in the morning.

Throw 3-4 cups of spinach in a blender with a chocolate protein shake. You won’t even taste it.

@commuter that's exactly how I got mine in to
by (8k points)
@othella 4 cups a day no matter how you got them
by (1.1k points)
@othella that’s how I got mine in. After a while I started craving veggies and ate them in other ways but in the beginning this was it.

I have got to say that I struggled with being hungry early in the day because a shake alone was not filling enough. I had been on the program my second time for about 5 months before I listened to what everyone was saying about adding frozen cauliflower and spinach to my chocolate shake and it is a GAME CHANGER! I feel full, energized and so happy to get all those veggies in and all it does is make your shake a smoothie! Thick AND delicious! I love the advice I receive from this group!

@othella not at all! Make sure you use frozen cauliflower, it makes it cold and easier to drink. Make sure you blend it up really well, don't just use a shaker!
by (1.7k points)
@othella not if you blend it really well. It will be like a milkshake!

I'll add veggies to the soups and omelet. Makes the packets taste better and getting veggies in!
