Same! I get nothing from my coach.
by (6.4k points)
The main reason I joined was because I believed this program offered constant guidance
by (2.2k points)
@saltarello thats what I thought too. But no support at all!

Love my coach! I can text her from grocery store, or when I’m struggling and she responds and checks on me periodically.
by (6.4k points)
The fact that she checks on u is amazing.
by (1.5k points)
@saltarello she’s pretty great. A friend recommended her.

My coach calls me every week and offers all sorts of suggestions and encouragement during the week via email or text. And we have never met in person! ❤️
by (6.4k points)
Wow. Def not my experience.
by (8.3k points)
@saltarello I am sorry to hear that. I am relatively new and we have no close coaching in our state so my friend hooked me up with her coach in Colorado and she has been great. I am not sure what you do if you are not getting help from your coach but maybe some of the others who know the ins and outs of the whole program can help?
by (6.4k points)
This group has been very helpful. n I just eat the sheet. so I'm doing good. But I wanted to gauge the experiences others were having with their coaches to see if I was was expecting too much.

Mine calls me every week during this Covid 19. And I can call or email her anytime. I do miss seeing her every week, but hoping that will change soon.

I really like my coach except it can sometimes take days for her to respond to my text messages. By that time I usually have my question answered by this group!

This is more my experience

Had a nonexistent coach when I first started and switched to an awesome coach now! You should switch if you are unhappy.

I loveeeee my coach Julie Bernard  We are in Miami and anyone that would have the chance to be on her team , is lucky . I am so happy that I found her . In this program you need a lot of guidance and if you end up with a coach that you don’t connect , you end up not doing it at the end .
by (6.4k points)
Where in miami? I'm curious. I live in south fl
by (11.5k points)

THIS is what you are paying for.  COACHING AT CLINCS Start-up costs and the high price of IP foods INCLUDES QUALITY COACHING! Coaching should include a complete orientation and in-depth review of the program and phase 1 protocol AND starting weight and measurements of 5-6 body parts. First visit should last about 30 minutes one on one with your coach. When you leave you should know exactly what to do for your first week. Subsequent visits each week include a thorough review of your food journal with feedback and tips for improvements; education/new information; Q and A to ensure you understand everything; cheerleading; planning for next week's menu; weigh-in weekly; measuring usually every other week; body fat percentage measuring; and then food purchases. You should feel your coach knows the program, is using current protocol and can answer most questions confidently and uses IP corporate resources to find out information if needed. Anything less and they are taking your money and NOT providing you with the services you are paying for!

I'm not gettin much coaching at all.
by (6.4k points)
How long have u been on the program. Has it always been that way or is it due to covid?
by (2k points)
@saltarello idk, I started right when the virus was going public, but the thing is I am the only one even contacting her, I only let her know when I wanna pick up my food and I see good results on the scale.
by (6.4k points)
Same I started March 9. N good results so far. guess the good thing is I know I can motivate myself which is what I'll need when i finish the program anyway.
by (2k points)
@saltarello well I just solve my lack of coaching issue and just message my coach this, "Hello, I am not sure if I'm supposed to get more coaching or to be checked on more often, but I kinda feel like I'm just relying a lot on fb groups I'm only reaching out to you about food or when I see good scale results"
by (2k points)
And she seemed to be very responsive and called me and we set up a time each week
by (6.4k points)
Awesome. we're all going through a lot right now. So I'm sure coaches are busy just as we r

I changed sites. Coach was very rude and just went through the motions then was rude when I asked her questions via text which she told me I could do.

Coaching is a big part of the IP protocol- it's the "secret sauce" I believe. This COVID has made it more difficult for coaching, but not impossible and you should still be connected to your coach in some way ( texting, phone, email, facetime, etc. ). Have you reached out?
by (6.4k points)
Yes. waiting for reply

My coach and I have a weekly phone conference. I have also messaged or e-mailed her when necessary. I feel fortunate to have such a great coach.

I used to have weekly meetings with my coach. she would review my journal, talk about my week, answer any questions and if I had anything coming up we want to talk about (going out to dinner, etc). Now the office is closed but we have a weekly phone call. I can also send her the pages of my journal. I order my food online and I can either do curbside pickup or i can have it dropped off at my house.

I have not been happy from the get go. But I needed to do something to lose weight and it has been a good choice for me. I do wish I got more from my coach. She is nice enough, I just think there should be more than looking at my journal and weighing/measuring. I feel that she needs to initiate the conversation. Not just. good job you lost weight. I always feel rushed.
by (2.4k points)
@duvetyn982 Cochran, mine won’t let me in without my journal. She inspects it, which I love and appreciate. It’s like getting an A on a test!
by (6.4k points)
I've been faithfully wrinting in my journal for 6 weeks. Not one look at it. Didnt know they were supposed to look at them ‍♀️

I meet weekly with our clients. During this shut down we've helped people start the program and restart and get on track. Remember that your coach may not want to overwhelm you at this time, or maybe they are overwhelmed with kids at home and trying to keep their business afloat. Reach out to them and tell them what you need.
by (6.4k points)
Discussed my concerns with my coach last session. Not much of a difference. So, I'm looking at the coaching as being more of just a food provider at this point ‍♀️. Either way, I'm doing great n learning so much from this group that I know I'll b successful.
